THE DEADLINE FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS IS NOW PAST

The AGA is offering grants of up to $400 for registration, lodging and incidentals to assist students and postdocs wishing to attend the symposium.

To apply for a grant, please send 1) a short statement indicating your position (undergraduate student/graduate student/postdoc), and your reasons for wishing to attend, and 2) a poster abstract to: Brad Shaffer hbshaffer@ucdavis.edu.

A brief supporting statement should be sent separately by your advisor.

You must be an AGA student member to apply for a grant ($20/year). Membership includes the online and print issues of the 2010 Journal of Heredity, and access to the complete online archive (105 years!). To join, click here

Decisions and notification on grants will be made by June 1, 2010.

Note on accommodation: Dorm rooms are available from July 25-31 for $20 night -- "apartment style", with 2 bedrooms (each of which has two beds, and sleeps two people), a common area, and a kitchen. Please indicate with your application if you wish to stay in the dorms, and what dates to reserve. If you receive a grant, the dorm cost will be subtracted directly from the total funds.
