The AGA Symposium will be held on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa.
Thomas Gaines, in The Campus As a Work of Art, proclaimed the Iowa State campus to be one of the twenty-five most beautiful campuses in the country. Iowa State has a park-like expanse of central campus, and uses trees and shrubbery to draw together its varied building architecture.
Our opening reception will take place at Reiman Garden and Butterfly House, a gorgeous setting complete with flower gardens, tropical plants, and a huge glass building housing over 80 species of butterflies. All lectures will take place in the Jay Lush Auditorium, named for Jay Laurence Lush, the renowned animal geneticist and the Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor in Agriculture at Iowa State University for 36 years.
